Mar New FOs and DWM

Oh I'm late for Mar New FO's but I did start a couple of new projects in March.  Grannie squares, I just couldn't resist.  This was going to go in my baby shower quilt stash, but little Smiles saw it when he was out this weekend.  He just stared in amazement, so guess who gets it :)  Just finished piecing it today.

I participated in my first block swap.  It's 30's reproduction fabrics.  I don't have any, so this seemed like the perfect fit.  Here's the one I made - 30 of 'em.  Hopefully I 'll get 30 different ones back.

I also started Dear Jane, very excited about that.  I hope to get some blocks done week while I'm on vacation.

If you want to see what others have started in March, stop by Cat Patches and take a look.

Any my design wall for today.  I got two more swoon blocks done (the ones on top are the new ones), two more kitty corner blocks and I started a new practice quilt.  I'm going to try quilting baptist fans on this one.  I"ll keep going around with rainbow colors, yellow, green, teal.  We'll see.  I'm on vacation all week.  Husband is working, kids are back at school and all I have to do is sew :)  Does it get any better????

  3. Just love your 'granny' quilt! A start on the Dear Jane - I do a few, then send them off to Sarah, will never make a full quilt. Wonderful work.

  5. lots of cool things to look at. You STARTED a DEar Jane? Good luck with that. I do little quilts but generally the 3 or 4" blocks end up in a little quilt!
