QOV quilted

What fun this one was to quilt.   I was convincing myself to do a panto on the next QOV that came in but when I saw this beauty I just knew that wasn't going to work :)  This top was pieced by Terri in MI.  Can you believe this is only her second quilt top????  I just LOVE this pattern, from Fons and Porter.   I used Superior So Fine on top, bottom line in the bobbin.  Batting is Hobbs 80/20.  I really wanted to keep the whole stars and stripes theme going so I did lines in the white and feathers in the red.  Continuous curve in the stars and more feathers in between the stars.  In the border I simple outlined every red star with loops in between.

  15. The quilt is beautiful. You were right about that. The quilting is amazing. What I like the best is how you chose differently for each section of the quilt. Thanks for sharing your thinking process on that.
