Work in progress Wed

Well, this is day three of my "practice for retirement" vacation.  What did I do on my first two days? I finished the last of my Swoon blocks.
I pieced a new quilt top - this will be either a gift for my niece for her birthday or I'll use it as one of my Hands to Help quilts.  If you're interested in participating in hands to help, just click on the button in the side bar.  It's not to late to join in the fun.
I quilted the granny squares quilt, it's done.  This one is for Baby Smiles, he just loved it, so it's his :)  I had a pantograph with dogs on it, I think you can see them in the back of the quilt better.

Can you see the two different dogs?
On the agenda for today, loading the rainbow log cabin on the frame.  I'm going to try Baptist fans with about 7 arcs, I'm hoping they look like rainbows. We'll see.  I have another quilt for a friend of mine that I want the rainbow quilting so this one is my practice run :)  I also want to see if I can get a block or two of Dear Jane done.  Now, to get that second cup of coffee and warm up those machines.

  19. I came over fom Lily's quilts. I love the square pants, you have converted me to loving feathers and quilting in general!! I have been pondering a rainbow quilt but couldn't decide how to proceed, but this could be my inspirations! I have pinned it and hope that is ok, let me know if you'd rather I removed it
