Need some motiviation to mark a quilt

I love piecing, I love quilting.  It's the part between the piecing and the quilting that I'm not real big on.  And that's where I am with Steve and Lindsey's wedding quilt.  It's pieced, the backing arrived yesterday.  I have thread to get started, the rest is on the way.   But I have to mark part of the quilt.  I really don't like marking a quilt.  Here's what I'm thinking so far.  Not sure about the center star.  But I've got a way to go before I lock in on that design.   Must mark the quilt....wedding is coming up soon.

In my procrastination, I did finish the center of beach glas.  It looked better in my imagination.  But it was an excellent use of scraps.  We'll see if the quilting makes it look better to me.  I'm planning on  a big swirl panto, if I can do it :)  The last two have gone fairly well, but this one will require a little more skill on my part.  But must mark Steve and Lindsey's quilt first!!!

  3. I think marking is my least favourite part, I have to make myself do it every time. The beach glass quilt looks great, lovely colours.

  4. I love the beach glass quilt, and my mind is ticking over wanting to do the same in order to reduce my stash. I think the design your working on is nice, have you drawn directly onto the fabric, or is it a whiteboard?
