Yep, I'm having a give away. But you have to look at all the new projects I started this month before I show you what I'm giving away - hint I've been on a jelly roll binge lately
New FOs for Feb :
- Made in cherry, this one is more like made in sunshine (made in lemon doesn't seem right)
- Zig Zag skill build - I'll quilt a different pattern on each row
- Fun with Strips
- Sea Shards - I need help figuring out what to do with block 20 - I only had enough of the sea glass left overs for 19 blocks - dang so close

Zig Zag Skill Builder |

Fun with Stripes - Donation quilt 3 |

Sea Shards |
Stash report - it's too depressing I can't keep doing it. I buy a lot of fabric, I make a lot of quilts, it all still fits in half of my closet. I'm sending my kids to college and paying my bills. As long as the priorities are right and it fits in the closet, I'm giving up the tracking. Now watch, since I said that I won't buy any fabric for 3 months - ok lets just say 1.
Now for the Giveaway - I'm giving away a Jelly Roll (surprise :) Moda Bella Solids warm tones. All you have to do is leave a comment between now and when I wake up in the morning on 3/1 and choose the winner. That's easy right?
Stop by Cat Patches to see all the new creations that were started in Feb
Oh, I just got the Bella bright and pastels and they are just wonderful. This would fit nicely amongst them. Yes, I do work with solids other than white!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts so much. The jellyroll giveaway is wonderful. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts!! :-) Thank you so much for the chance to win! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Jelly Rolls and I love Bella and solids I need.
ReplyDeleteSo Pick me, pick me! Pick me Please!......grin.
You work is beautiful!
I <3 <3 <3 that owl quilt in your banner!! I am in looove. Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love your zig zag quilt and the shards quilt. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity. I could use some solids in my stash. I don't have any as of yet...gasp!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the stash reporting is too depressing. I gave up a long time ago and I just enjoy that I have a stash!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect giveaway gift! I am trying so hard to buy solids to build my meager stash because, and I don't know if a lot of fairly new quilters do this, but my balance of fabrics is definitely skewed! I have some lovely prints, bits and pieces, FQs and some precuts but very few solids. I'm so unfocused...I see something I love and because I'm limited on spending, I just get a bit of this and a bit of that and it took me a while to realize, "hey kiddo, you gotta get some solids in there!". Moda has the most wonderful solids, I love them all. Thanks for a fun giveaway and chance at this perfect quilting treasure. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteI haven't made anything with a jelly roll yet. This one is so springy and pretty.
ReplyDeleteWere you aware that you can turn off the word verification? A lot of bloggers have been turning it off since it became more difficult to read. In fact I didn't get it right the first time.
What a great Feburary! I love your Made in Cherry quilt, it is so cheerful! The Sea Shards quilt is gorgeous too. Good luck on abstaining from fabric purchases! I never do too well on that, there is always some sale calling my name :D
ReplyDeleteLove your projects! For Sea Shards (love the name of that one!) could you just do a plain square of the background fabric?
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win it. Fingers crossed. Love your zigzag quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilts, esp. the zigzag.
ReplyDeleteI hardly have solids, but since I got a few, I noticed they are much more fun to 'play' with then I thought.:-)
Thanks for a chance to win some.
Dutch hugs

ReplyDeleteI love the sea shards. What a cool name for a quilt.
ReplyDeleteSea shards is awesome, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteSea shards looks gorgeous! Why not put the blocks on point and any spares on the back. But, if you want to keep the "coloured" block, why not make it a "port hole" shape in a square. Just a few suggestions. Thanks for the chance in a generous giveaway, Cheers, Dianne

ReplyDeleteoh boy could my stash use some pastel solids! thanks fo rthe giveaway! loved seeing your made in cherry quilt...im cutting for one of my own now!
ReplyDeleteI think this jelly roll would fit perfectly into my stash. :)
ReplyDeleteGet some big plastic see-through tubs at Walmart or wherever and put more fabric in them. You can stack several large tubs in a corner. You can buy the under-the-bed size as well. make sure you have it all stashed by color families.
ReplyDeleteI'm following you now and hoping to win this jelly roll.
I have hardly any fabric. Most of what I have is from Walmart, and I've realized it is not worth my time to quilt. If you ever feel inclined to give some away, please think of me. Oh, and buy all the fabric you want--don't feel guilty!! It must be so cheering to be able to look at so much color, especially when on a gloomy day, or when you are not feeling well. COLOR THERAPY!
Just make sure that your daughter/granddaughter/whoever will inherit your stuff will want it. Let them know you hope they will have time to quilt at some point in their lives, and that you want them to enjoy the nice fabric you saved.
Happy Leap Day!

ReplyDeleteI love jelly rolls I hope you pick my number or that I have been doing these giveaways since 7:30amEST or that I wear purple Pj. I think next time thats what I'll ask everyone to comment on. I think that might be funny. I think your zigzag is excellent. I really like the one you said you ran out of fabric for because it looks very modern, you not alone, I did too on one of my christmas blocks and did stitching on it so it looked like I meant it that way. I really like your quilt style. I just started using solids but I havent try bellas yet. THANK YOU?
ReplyDeleteI agree about not doing the weekly stash report. I tried keep track of what I used and what I bought and realized it made me anxious and was more trouble than it was worth. I use fabric when and how I need it. I spend within my means and enjoy everyone of my purchases.

This is my third try to get in through google. I am getting frustrated. I really enjoy your blog and am thankful for all the work you put into it. I truly have learned a lot from you. Thanks for all your heard work. I had to give up on my weekly reporting to myself and have lots track. Oh well. Thanks for the opportunity to win the strips.
