Who doesn't love a Friday???? Especially summer Friday's. I didn't get a single stitch in this week, not one. But I have a couple hours before work and since I'm working from home that means I convert the commute time to sewing time. Can it get any better than that.
I did do some drawing though. I am pretty excited about this months sewcalgal free motion quilting tutorial. Here's some drawings that I've just been playing with during the week. Circles, repeated line and s curves are the 3 elements. Take all those wonderful things and just try to fill a space. We'll see what comes of them. It's just fun to doodle sometimes
Linking up with Show off Friday , Sarah's to see what everyone else is whooping about, and Sew Many Ways, there's always some great inspiration there at all these places.

I knew this challenge would be right up your alley! Great designs going there. AND I love your new banner, too.
ReplyDeleteI love your Zentangles! So fun!
ReplyDeleteOoooo you're drawings are so FUN!!! I have not had time to take part in the challenge this year, but I've been following everyone's posts, and this month seems to be the most fun. Reminds me of doing something similar on my notebook covers when in school :*)
ReplyDeleteGreat new banner! (Happy to see the owls are still there -- I love them!)
ReplyDeleteI have never been good with drawing anything, including straight lines with rulers. Your drawings are so detailed and have so much motion. Really nice!
Oh, those doodles are amazing!! Can you translate them to a quilt top, you think? And I love the new header - those two quilts on the right look startling familiar - like something I've seen in my dining room....LOL!! Whoop whoop!!
ReplyDeleteWhy I never think to just doodle on paper to practice quilt design and motion memory is beyond me but after seeing your doodles, I'm inspired to get a blank book and go for it.
ReplyDeleteWhoop! Whoop!
Sue,
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the artist. I'm so impressed. I haven't even read the challenge yet. Just a fantastic job.
Me too! That banner is impressive with all your beautiful work. Love your drawings - doodler par excellance
ReplyDeleteI wish I could doodle like you can....
ReplyDeleteLove those zentangles! You should transfer them into a quilt with little trouble. I'm excited about this month's challenge, but my doodles don't look anywhere as great as yours!
