I tried sewing a little on New Year's Eve, but I think I was just too rushed. I kept sewing things together wrong in my attempt to get as much sewing into 2010 as possible. But I didn't want to make a record for tearing seams out either so I gave up. Got to do a little bit today and made much better progress. I've been working on putting the blocks together for RRCB part 7. I like how it's turning out so far. One of daughters said "it's a very vibrant quilt", hmmmm. I was surprised a bit by how "vibrant" it is, but I like it. I think I'll finish this one for my brother for Christmas. I also did a little work on some string blocks for my son in laws red, black and white quilt. I just really like the black and white. Can't wait to get this one done. I hope it turns out as good as I have it pictured in my mind!!
I love the way your RRCB mystery is turning out. The yellow is vibrant, but it works with all the white.
ReplyDeleteWow you are making real progress on RRCB.......
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying the mystery!
Happy sewing
I think it is very Southwestern. Reminds me of some of the woven blankets and baskets. This turning out to be a real WOW quilt - I love it.

ReplyDeleteI love your RRCB ... vibrant colors with a nice contrast with the string block neutrals. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You've succeeded wonderfully with the contrast between the bolls and the gold. I can't wait to see what you choose to do for borders!
