I really didn't think I was going to get much quilting done this weekend. The youngest grandson came over and we had costumes to make, pumpkins to pick and the fun fall goodness. But someone got tired and took a nap. Costume was finished in less than 30 minutes and daughter #2 helped get the baby quilt ready for a shower coming up. Now that was definitely a Halloween treat!! Owl Duet by Katie's Quilts and Crafts. I did fusible applique with blank stitching around the shapes. We got this together in one day, can't believe it!! I've got it all marked and on the frame ready to quilt.
My's nieces mother in law re-did a room for the grand kids. I made the quilt comforter and matching pillow shams. Each grand child has their name embroidery on the pillow sham, so there's no confusing who's is who's! This little ensemble should like pretty nice on a day bed don't you think? Pattern is a modified
Brick Road by Fons and Porter. Batting is Hobbs Poly Down, pantograph is Contempo by Lorien Quilting. Glide thread on top, magna glide bobbins.
Hope everyone gets more treats than tricks this year. Here's a couple of pictures of the yard in peak color, just love this time of year. Don't forget to check out all the link inspiration on the side bar.
