What a great sewing weekend

I've been waiting to use the "Lounge Lizard" pantograph (free from Urban Elementz) and finally got the chance.  This is such a cute pattern for a baby/toddler boy quilt.  I made two of these, one for my daughter who needs a shower gift and one for 100 Quilts for Kids (see the side bar - the kids need some quilty hugs).
Baby Boy Quilt for Kids

Lounge Lizards - how fun
And I ALMOST got two quilts quilted in one day.  I've never done that before. I got 1.5 done - I"m pleased as punch with that.
Urban 9 Patch - 1/2 way quilted.
And then there's tossed salad.  I couldn't have put those blocks together more wrong. So some time was spent ripping them  apart and putting them back together.  It was just as much fun the second time around as the first.  Some of those little guys though wanted to go together a  different way.  On the third try I was getting a little border.  But the top is all together and here it it.  Thanks to Silly Goose Quilts for such a great mystery!!

  12. Both quilts are wonderful and I love them. I have those days too when no blocks go together with ease. Lovely lizard panto! I can only do a bout 2 hours of quilting then I feel my joints creaking at the long arm. So to get that much done in one day, WOW!!!

  13. That baby boy quilt has really caught my eye. Love the colors. Your quilting is amazing! I don't know if I will ever be worthy of that caliber of quilty goodness.
My quilt weekend is just beginning. I am little slow to get going this morning, but I know once I officially wake up I will be working on the bargello seasons for my quilt class at Quilt U. I'm loving the process!

  19. I have the lounge lizard pantograph too but have not been able to use it yet. Now I want to make something special just so I can! I love the blue backing. Too cute. You curved nine patch is cool too. I still haven't quilted mine yet. It scares me to quilt for some reason. I love it so much I don't want to mess it up.

  22. You're showing some of my favorite quilts. I thought the rainbow pattern would be a good one for our beginning quilters in our guild. I hope we can teach it this year. The table runner is so beautiful and lizard lounge. I wish I were a long arm quilter, for sure. But I'm mostly a hirer of long arm quilters...and glad to do it. I'm a new follower and will visit again. Your blog is very nice. When you have a minute, please come by and visit at Prairie Cottage Corner and follow me, if you can. See you again, soon.
