I'm working on a special quilt today for Relay for Life. This one has a lot of meaning as two out of three sister-in-laws have been impacted by cancer. The quilt is called Hope Takes Flight. Cancer changes a life forever, I can't even imagine. But when you have to fight it for an entire life over and over, my heart just aches. I don't know what else to do so I'll quilt and do what I can. Just know that each of these stitches ( and there's going to be a whole of them on this one) is filled love and prayers that the angels watch over them. Permo soft 50 wt thread on top. Permo soft is becoming my new favorite thread. My machine never really liked So Fine 50wt but it love Permo-Soft. And I've got bottom line in the bobbin, Hobbs 80/20 batting. So far I've used 12 bobbins of thread and think I have another 6 or so to go. Need to get this one finished by June 21st so I have to get moving. Hehehehe, after all those pantos I did, it feels good to be quilting something like crazy again!
On the design wall I've got the triangle quilt, just needs the last border and it's done!![]() |
